i can understand it, if its an illness that is going to have away from trainning for 2-3 weeks.
but lets say the average flu take about 4-7 days, if you stop and then start you will have to build up the hormone level in your system again hence less gain, less strength duering the first 2 weeks after being ill (which is when your felling weak anyway). while if you don't stop when you go back to train the following week you will hit the ground running, it will help your feeling of weakness form the flu.
Caring on with your cycle while ill will also help with muscle wastage, as when you are ill you don't eat as much or train, under these circustances the gear this help maintain the mucsle you already have.

I haven't been 'sick' in like two or three years. Lack of sleep, sure, but when I'm down for a good 12-13 hours and eat like 10-15grams of vitamin C, I'm a new man. Either lots of people get coincidentally 'sick' on cycle, or we have different ideas of 'sick'. For me, I'm in the gym and at work and school unless I'm shivering, huge fever, white **** in my throat, extreme muscle weakness, sore/tender joints, etc...etc...
If all I am is 'tired sick' like something caused from lack of sleep or rest, (sore throat, itchy eyes, maybe a headache) just take a day off and treat yourself like a newborn with nice long naps and good warm food (usually a good day to carb refeed what with the lack of activity and time around the house!), take a long hot shower, breathe in the the steam, your fine. Quit yours bitchins!
Lots of people leads me to believe don't really take good care of themselves anyways and the 'tired sick' turns into 'really sick'. If your feeling run down, dont go have 6 beers just because its friday night, that itchy throat is going to wake up rip roaring on fire because your going to be drunkenly snoring all night long, irritating and drying it out. Things like that.
