This is the same post I have in the workout programs section but I dont think anybody ever goes there and I value alot of some of the regulars to this sections input to I will post it here.
I was running 3 on 1 off but due to my physical job I feel I need more rest days, especially for my legs. so which one?
Option A:
Chest/back
delts/arms
OFF
legs/abs
OFF
repeat
Option B
Chest/back
delts/arms
legs/abs
OFF
OFF
repeat

I was in a situation similar to this a while back and lifting bricks for a lot of the day,.. option A is what i would go for right now.
EDIT make sure your diet is high in carbs with all this running, i learned this the hard way during some pre season football practices.~~~~~~~~~~

Personally I'd opt for fewer back to back days than more days off in a row.
2 on : 1 off , 2 on : 1-2 off would be my choice depending if you like to do things on particular days of the week.
So I guess "A" would be closest. It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
