Mountain_Goats MUSCLESPEED Log
I'm starting a one week run of MUSCLESPEED today. I'll take it pre-workout dosing at 3 Caps.
I'll keep my regular training journal for my workout info and post my expectations, thoughts and overall review of MUSCLESPEED here.
Here's some of what I'll log daily and then post a final review.
The final review
On a scale of 1 to 10
Rate these areas of performance:
- Boost in energy and duration
- Strength in training
- Explosive (speed + strength) Power, i.e. like power lifters)
- Exercise endurance
- Revved metabolism, ex: more body heat, sweating...
- Effects on mood
- Appetite suppression
- Alertness and mental clarity
- What were the overall results on your body & mind?
- Would you use it again (final review)?
Cheers!!!

I decided to just take 2 pre-workout yesterday. I felt some affects. Mental clarity (yes hard to believe with me I know) And I certainly sweated a lot harder. The energy level felt a little higher than normal. I'll take 3 pre-workout today and see how that goes. I should have stuck to my plan of 3 yesterday.

I drink a lot of water no matter what so I didn't really increase it much. I seem to be drinking a little more today though. I'll head to the gym in about an hour. I'll post about it this afternoon.

So today I took 3 caps pre-workout.
- Boost in energy and duration
Very nice boost in energy but not overly intense which is nice. I'll explain below.
- Strength in training
Hard to tell on this today. I have changed up my routine a bit for adding mass so I am going heavier. I hit some major weights so I am happy with that.
- Explosive (speed + strength) Power, i.e. like power lifters)
I don't train for speed or powerlift so I will drop this off my list. I use bodybuilder cadence and exercises.
- Exercise endurance
This was UP today. More than usual. I could have gone for more exercises and sets.
- Revved metabolism, ex: more body heat, sweating...
Sweated BIG time today. Whew. Like on a hardcore stim.
- Effects on mood
I actually feel my mood is better the last two days. I have some crap going on in my life right now. Divorcing my wife of 8 years so this was a pleasant surprise.
- Appetite suppression
This seems to be pretty level to where I normally am. BUT the before bed munchies didn't happen. I'll see how that goes tonight.
- Alertness and mental clarity
This seems better at the gym and at work. Again I'll see how this goes throughout today.
So interesting observation. I was concerned that I would get the stim jitters that I ALWAYS get when starting something similar previously. This doesn't happen with MUSCLESPEED. I get the good effects similar to stims but not the bad sides. I am impressed so far.

So today was a really good test for the MUSCLESPEED. I worked late last night. I woke up around Noon. Pretty foggy. I had 4 hours of sleep...woke up for a while to take the kiddo to school etc...then back to sleep for anout 3 or so hours.
I took 3 caps this morning and hit the gym a little less than an hour later.
I am pretty sure that it helped clear the fog. Mental focus was excellent. I sweated as much or more than the previous day. I had a heck of a workout including 420lbs of plates on the Hammer Strength shrugs.
I am impressed so far. I'll train early tomorrow morning and work my back.
Cheers!!!

good review of the product...I like your details on teh effects...interesting that it makes you sweat more....I can't say a product has ever done that for me...even some of the most intense fat burners...
can you elaborate what you do for this:
"I use bodybuilder cadence and exercises"
I think I know what you mean but always like to pick more experienced guys brains

Well let me see if I can better explain. Power Lifters train a certain way. Low reps strength movements. For sports you train a certain way. Often more explosive movements. For bodybuilders it's all about adding muscle mass. So each rep has a certain cadence and you use a particular rep range and exercise that build or help define muscle rather than concentrating on strength or agility. Hope that makes more sense.

Final review later today when I have a little more time.

Moderate up...moderate down. I do change it up from time to time but rarely. I don't really care for any of the HIT stuff. So like 3 up 3 down range roughly. I just do what feels best for me.

OK here we go!!
The final review
On a scale of 1 to 10
Rate these areas of performance:
- Boost in energy and duration
I would give this about a 9. The energy is awesome yet not too intense that I can't stand still. It doesn't "feel" like a strong stim yet still hits me very well. The effect lasts geez...a good 4-5 hours and there is NO CRASH.
- Strength in training
I give this a 7 simply because I can't really tell if there is that much of a difference in strength. I am fairly strong now but do not train for it specifically.
- Explosive (speed + strength) Power, i.e. like power lifters)
I won't rate this as this is not what I train for. I suspect it would be a good supplement for this however.
- Exercise endurance
I'll give this a 9 as well. The endurance seems to be really good on MUSCLESPEED. I am impressed. I could easily stay in the gym WAY too long. And that's a good thing.
- Revved metabolism, ex: more body heat, sweating...
9 as well. The sweating is noticable and the warming affect is really awesome yet not insane like on stims. I'm happy with this and would use it for a cut.
- Effects on mood
8-9. Interesting that most stims make me aggitated and anger MORE easily. This seems to have the opposite affect which was a nice surprise.
- Appetite suppression
I'll give this an 8. I THINK it has that affect. I am actually trying to eat more cals right now to add some size for a competition this fall and it's been a challenge because I am really not hungry enough to consume any more than I had been. Again I think it would work very well for a cut.
- Alertness and mental clarity
9 This is also a noticable benefit of MUSCLESPEED.
- What were the overall results on your body & mind?
I'll give it a 9 overall. I think it's not as harsh as a hardcore stim. It has some great benefits overall. I really like the added training endurance, mental focus, and I LOVE not being jittery from it.
- Would you use it again (final review)?
I would indeed. I have checked and it is a little pricey but I would certainly use it to jump start and or finish off a cut. Good stuff!
Thanks Rob!!!!!!
Cheers!
