Opinion on a body part a day

Hey I recently read that some people go to the gym every day and workout one body part each day,,,is this good for buidling muscle? is it effective?

What kind of result would u get from this?

example
Monday- Legs
Tuesday-Chest
Wednesday-Back
Thursday-Shoulder
Friday- Triceps
Saturday-Triceps
Sunday-Biceps

Would this allow you to focus soley on one muscle at a time, thus making larger gains?

Anything will work for a while. The problem with training every day is that although the specific muscles get some rest, your CNS does not. Eventually, if you're training naturally, you'll get to a point where you aren't recovering sufficiently, and your progress will stall, and even regress.

That being said, give it a shot. You'll know when it no longer works for you--you'll start losing strength, among other symptoms.
