Wikipedia says without sources "However, orally administered GABA does have effects outside of the central nervous system (e.g. decreased muscle tone)":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GABA#ci...pmid11837891-0
I have been taking it for a week.
Should I be concerned about the decrease in muscle tone? I was taking it for sleep

"Muscle tone" in this regard is not in relation to muscle-mass vs fat-mass which is the "exercise description" (for want of better words). They are referring to the general state of muscle contraction at any one time.
Because GABA acts as a neurotransmitter inhibitor, the decrease in muscle tone it is referring to is the relaxation of the muscle contraction i.e. it puts you into a relaxed state physically (and possible mentally).www.GetDS.com
