Pain in hands and fingers when Stretching

I am having sharp pains in my hands and fingers when I stretch my arms. Whether I stretch my biceps on the wall or i am stretching my triceps i seem to be getting pains in my fingers and palm/hand.

Any ideas on what is causing this or what I can do to remedy these pains?

    Shooting pains?

If your nerves are tight this can happen.

    Do some nerve glides:
    http://www.handhealthresources.com/S.../Exercises.htm

And also massage everything from your neck, shoulder all the way down to your hands.... myofascial release + cross friction for 30 mins per day everyday....

    See if that helps.

The pain is usually before I work out. the pain feels like electricity or fire running down my palms and down the side of my fingers. It happens when i extend my hand like I was putting it it flat against the wall then standing sideways to the wall.

I do work in a helpdesk and am typing about 8 hours a day.

Is there any exercises I could use to help my wrist strength and keep me from getting wrist problems?

Do the nerve glides and massage like I said in the above post.

I am 99% sure that will solve your problems.... (although I am not a medical professional.. and this is the Internet... so take it for what it's worth).
