My friend told me to not to run with your dog and then let them have water right away because it can flip they're stomach, any truth to this?

Its, don't feed your dog and then take them running. This only applies to larger dogs. If the dog comes home and chugs some water don't feed them immediately either. A lot of water in the stomach mixed with our modern day dog food can cause bloat, which increases the chance of stomach flip also.

actually a legit question. wrong place for it though. The main thing is you don't want to let the dog drink a bunch of water and then feed it, or overfeed it in general, because bloat can be fatal.
More of a problem in older dogs, in big dogs and breeds that have a deep but narrow chest, like dobermans, great danes and greyhounds, as opposed to more thickly build dogs like pits."What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" ...will probably be my last words
