*** Johan Santana VS CC Sabathia : WHOS GETTING MORE WINS THIS SEASON?! ***

So one of the other bar tenders I work with has a bet going around, who is going to have more wins?

I guess it would be false to say I am not biased towards Santana because I am a die hard Mets fan, but taking a moment to look at the situation from an outside perspective, it still seems to me that Johan will come out on top. We have a bullpen that is certainly few and far between, one which is a complete 180 degree turn from what Mets fans have been used to. Our 7th, 8th and 9th seem to be our stronger innings now with Putz, Green, and Frankie. I believe this will be the corresponding factor that will lead to a larger win column for Santana.

Your thoughts...

i'm inclined to pick santana for the exact reason you mention: the bullpen advantage... not to mention, the national league in general is a weaker league.

only thing that would make me sway toward sabathia is the yankee offense which, once it gets rolling, will be a force.

Exactly my thoughts, but my defense to that (in my own mind) is that since the Yanks has so many new players it is going to take a little bit for them to "mesh" and get a feel for each other in order to play well.

i chose C.C. because i think he can get them deep enough in games, and couple that with the potent offense, shouldnt see too much middle relief with him starting
