Guess Who's Back ? (The rebuilding of Chi_town)
Ok...........so I need to start a Wo thread.
Here's the plan..............
Nutrition: Continue to eat semi clean and ease into strick nutrition.
Try and keep ratio's to about 45-50% Protein, 30% clean carbs and 20-25% fat.
Cardio: 3-5 sessions a week.......Fast walking at luchtime and 1-2 sessions of some kind of cardio on the weekend....be it biking, running ect.
Lifting: For this month there will be no lifting in a gym. I will use some dumbells at home, do crunches and pushups.
I left my old gym (that I hated BTW) and I am not going to join my favorite gym (LIfetime Fitness) until either May or June.
My kids have started softball already, so I will get some extra exercise from helping in practices.
My current weight: 260+
Current BF: 21%
(see I told you this is the worst shape I have been in in over 5 years..LOL)
The goal: 230 lbs at 12-14% BF
It's time !

Thanks Orca ! I'll be ramping things up in the next few weeks.
This week, the plan was just to eat clean.
It seem that I have come down with just a wonderful spring cold.....
....runny/stuffy nose (it changes:rolleyes......LOL)
....tired as hell
....overall feeling like crap.
Nutrition was pretty good today....protein was low and carbs a bit high.
I just finished some chicken noodle soup.......(I don't care what they say...it works for colds....damn it. LOL)
I had to work offsite for 1/2 the day....the good part was I got done earlier, the bad part is I hit major traffic jams (contruction and and accident) on the way home....took me over an hour for what should have been 20 mins frm where I was working.
Ok...so I have decided that in the next week or two I will be rejoining my favorite gym. I really need to do some morning cardio and occasionally some lifting before work as it really ramps up motabolism and will only help my efforts. While I don't like lifting in the early am (4am) I do like doing my cardio then. I end up feeling great the rest of the morning and day.
But 1st I must shake this cold as it could worsen and put me flat on my back.
More chicken soup and extra sleep should do the trick.
Happy Hump Day !

Welcome back . . . looking forward to seeing your workouts!
Looks like you are aiming for the same macro breakdown that I've started to try and stick to--will be great to follow how that works for you.

Busy last few days with Work and being sick.
It seems I am finally starting to shake this cold. Thank God !
Nutrition has slipped some these last few days but not bad over all.
Only cardio I have gotten in was my favorite kind.... LOL
Seriously, I need to shake this cold...it got into my chest pretty bad.
I am going to Michigan on Bizz tomorrow night for a few days.
Weather here is fianlly nice......70 something yesterday and still nice today.
Weather permitting, I am going to start cycling again next weekend.
Where I live now, I am about a 1/2 mile from the major bike path that I have been riding these last 4-5 years. I need to work my way back up into being able to ride 50+ miles at a shot.
I am going to Galena Illinois for Memorial Day weekend and plan on doing all kinds of hiking and riding.
My girls have a softball game today at 1pm.
You all have a fantastic weekend !

It's been a tough road shaking this cold.
I thought it was over and it came back a bit.
I spent most of last night in bed sleeping 12 hrs +
Today I feel a bit better but still very tired.
Sunday starts strict nutrition for me.
This week has been so-so nutrition, but probably light in cals and protein.
With the good weather this weekend, I plan on getting plenty of outside activity.
I hope you all are having a good week ?

I coached my two older boys for 6 straight years and it was one of the best times of my life!!! my abilities to throw, and hit the ball were greatly magnified by the total change in my body as opposed to when I was that age and it was an ego booster...enjoy it!!!

John ,
Thanks for stopping by and the encouraging words.
I know I will get back to where I want to be, it's just going to take a few months. I am in no rush, but it is time to get serious.

I am good Tiff..........just really busy this pat two weeks.
Ok...........nutrition has been really good this week.
Very good......but not perfect yet.......but I am close.
I am prepping most of my food and doing very well overall.
Even down a few lbs this week. (- 3 or -4 lbs)
I have been extremely busy at work this past month and I am doing some side work for a friend that is very very lucrative $$$. Activity and cardio levels have not been where they need to be which is another reason I just have to get my ass back to the gym....especially so I can do my early am cardio.
My youngest turns 13 tomorrow and I got her a cool new phone (among other things. We have 2 softball games this weekend and I have my parenting classes this and next weekend (mandatory in IL for divorces with minor children). So this weekend will be very busy and I should be pretty active.
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.........I sure plan too.

Just got back from a 4 mile Sunday morning walk.
I feel great and I am doing fine.....but I do need to get my ass back in the gym.
Work is still very busy.....and I have a few trips coming up for work.
Nutrition has been very good....even last night's dinner out with a friend.
I had a grecian Salmon and it was yummie.
I am off to yet another softball game for my girls today.
After that it's going to be a lazy day....and maybe taking my kids shopping for a bit.
You all have a great day/week.
