    How much do you cardio?

Just wondering where my regimen fits into the overall sector.

I do 20 minutes of cardio every Mon/Wed/Fri post-workout. Been doing it for about 5 months and thus far have lost about 12 lbs, but I'm sure my bf% tells a better story as I'm putting on muscle at the same time.

How much cardio do you do?

I do 45 mins/6 days a week at medium intensity (4.5 mph at 10-14% incline on treadmill--similar speeds on other machines when not doing t-mill)

I'm trying to cut to close to contest BF%, so it may appear extreme.

    depends

I run, so it really depends on what I have planned to run that day. I run 3 to 4 days a week, 30 to 120 minutes depending if I have a 1/2 marathon that I'm training for.

To keep from getting too lean I'm lifting 3 days and using protein and creatine and keeping the runs down to 30 - 70 minutes in length.

Three days a week offseason, up to five days "in season".

Offseason, its never more than 30 minutes and sometimes much less if I do HIT. In season, I steadily ramp up the number of days and the maximum duration over a 14 week period, using the mirror as my guide. This year, I finished up at 5 days with a maximum time of 50 minutes on non HIT days.

    25 minutes - 3 times a week - on this:

Sorry I don't know how to embed the pic. Anyway - start at level 6 on this, walk up the stairs sideways (each side) periodically, then go to level 11 for intervals. This thing will kick your ass - in a good way

3 workouts a day... starting last week I increased from 15 min to 20 min on treadmill at start of each workout... 6.5 mph at 5% incline. the rest of my workout time is with weights and inverted situps. the more intense and amount of cardio the better for a lean build

Right now, about 2 hours per week (total of maybe 10 miles running). I'll be working slowly up to 30-40 miles per week, so whatever that comes to in terms of time...

In fact, my main focus right now is on running, with lifting weights a close second.

    My cardio

I am a big fan of High intensity interval for no longer than 25 minutes. I will get my heart rate as high as 160 which is anerobic at that point but then settle back down to 140ish for two minutes then bang out a good minute at a high level again.
If you want to do something you will find a way and if you don't, you will find an excuse.

Wednesdays and Sundays are my main cardio days, but I also do cardio post-workout on most other days. Most days I probably don't do more than 20-30 minutes of cardio though, so I probably don't do enough. I have a hard time with cardio. I just don't seem to have much endurance.

Right now, I am doing five 45-minute cardio sessions per week. But that will gradually move up to 10 per week just before my contest in July.
    Yours truly,
