Does anyone stick their bellies out when raw benching and press to the belly like a shirted lifter does to decrease the range of motion? This is assuming all other powerlifter form is in place for raw benching.

It looks like he pressed to his chest. Since this is the world record does this look like the optimal place to raw bench press?

Sebastian burns is a big supporter of belly benching raw, only he does it because it closely resembles the groove of his shirted benching.

If your a raw bencher though, I'd go with whatever you are stronger with. I'm actually stronger going lower on my belly, then I am hitting higher near my xiphoid. But I have a bigger belly also.
