Question Why is milk hated so much?

I love drinking milk. But in body building world, people tend to stay away from dairy products especially while cutting, why?. I was reading an article by Annold sgr. He was talking about how growing up in Austria, he used to drink milk all day long, gallons of it. I drink glass of skim milk before bed and with oetmeal in the morning. Cottage cheese is ideal before bed I suppose for casein protein but isn't skim milk a great substitute as well? AND BTW it does help me fall asleep

I love milk brah. What you said about people not drinking it on a cut, it may be because of the calories/carbs/fat. Most people that drink a lot of milk are on bulks.

Exactly. It all depends on your goals man. If you're a hardgainer or on a bulk and you need the extra calories to fulfill your daily requirement, then a glass of whole milk would be a great source of calories and protein.

All this "avoid dairy" thing because you will look soft is just broscience bs.

The only reason why id avoid milk is if I were lactose intolerant or if I were on a very low carbs diet.

I love milk, but my father (food scientist for a not to be named big company) has said his entire life to stay away from it.

He said the proteins in milk are made for a calf and not for humans to consume. Also, there is a reason why calfs/human babies stop drinking milk when they reach a certain age of development. Nature turns off the nozzle (hehe) for a reason. He contributes many illnesses to the continued drinking of milk past child development stages.

Not lactose intolerant, but I will get some gas from milk if I drink more than a little. I'd rather just stay away since I do fine without it

    Food scientist. Check
Milk is not supposed to be consumed by humans. Check
Milk is only supposed to be consumed by human calf babies. Check
Many illnesses will be avoided if milk is not consumed. Check

    listen to your body

if your body accepts dairy (i.e. no bloating, no gas, no other visible problems) then USE IT.

    thats the bottom line really.

Most of the milk hate is because of the steroids and hormones given to cows to enhance milk production, and to an extent I agree.

If you go with organic milk, that arguement isn't valid anymore, so that's why I switched. I'll pound 1/2 gallon to a gallon of organic whole milk everyday when I'm bulking or just maintaining my weight.

Milk and eggs are the top two bio-available proteins I believe, and with soy you have to worry about the estrogen stuff...get yourself some organic whole milk and enjoy it.

I love milk! My wife, daughter and me go through about 4-gallons of 1% milk every two weeks. Also, I like milk with my protein shake too.

I love milk. When I'm bulking, I drink 3-4 gallons of milk every week without fail! I'm trying to lean out now, so because of the carbs I'm not really drinking milk. Instead, I'm just using that activia yogurt and cream in my coffee.
