MISC Tech Nerds! I need TV help ASAP!
Hi guise,
I am an electrician on an oil rig currently in teh Gulf of Mexico. I have a problem and I need help.
We have a 50'' Samsung Plasma in our TV/Presentation room. And the bastard will not work correctly, and they need it for a big meeting in the morning, and they are coming down on me to fix it. I believe someone has messed with the settings.
Here is the problem. I cannot select any other inputs other than TV and PC. AV, Comp 1 and Comp 2 and both HDMI ports are just greyed out on the input source list and I cannot select them.
Also on the main TV menu, I can get to Picture, Sound, Setup, and Input, but there is a menu with a picture of a Satellite it just skips right over, I can't get to it.
Is there a way to Reset this TV?
I don't have the manual, and I tried a tech help website but got no replys, also can't call customer service until 9:00am tomorrow, so that won't help me.
Comon fellas I NEED YOUR HALP!!!!
Reps for life.

Yeah I looked for that. I thought about opening it up to see it there might be a reset in there but am afraid of wiping out everything.

Could it the inputs be greyed out becuase there is not anything plugged in to them? My samsung inputs are greyed out unless it detects a signal there.

I thought about that, plugged in a component cable and nothing. What I really wonder is why is skips directly over the Channel Menu Option on the Main Menu.

you sure you searched everywhere in the menu options?
Check every category in depth to see if there are any input options. Sounds like the inputs you want have been programmed to be not active and therefore your TV is skipping them.

I checked everything. I figured someone might have accidently programmed something and it that is the reason it skips over it. But I can't do anything about it. Is there a way to set it back to factory defaults?

I found this elsewhere. When I go to Setup, there is no option for System. I don't know why, but it is not there. So I can't reset it that way.
Repped for trying though.
