Been in the Marine Corp. Live on the west coast.
Haven't seen my girl since January.

So all you people bitching about how long distances don't work. **** off. I've been drunk next to multiple women (blond german chick) and haven't made that move. Why? Because something in the back in my head says your in love with the girl back home.

Long distance relationships can, and do, work. It all depends on the work put in. Garbage in, garbage out.
The big problem with distance is, affection is fundamental to relationship longevity. It's hard to express affection via call or text. That affection is, however, easily expressed in person. The minute one part feels affection from a third party, the relationship falls to ****. I'm speaking from experience here...

i was in a long distance relationship for 2 years, and everything seemed fine the first 18 months, after that it went downwards. If you both can make it ~6months w/o seeing each other, you will be alright ;-) otherwise.
