proportions, deads generally will give you a wider waist from all the mass ext look at ronnie for example of this. Had some of the most mass in lower back area ever as well as huge waist for bodybuilding. He also loved deads, as seen in 800lbs for reps energy depleated 5% bodyfat or so.
Look at pics of the waist, Konstantinov looks not nearly as big, though I'm pretty sure his back is just as huge, because his waist looks twice as big.

no to be a dick or something , both of those guys have huge backs , but look at the spinal erectors of Wolf's back, i dont think they are up to par with the rest of his back, do u? now go compare with Dorian Yates or Ronnie and see what im talking about..deadlifts add so much thickness in ur back-its unreal.

different poss plus offseason of wolf, but yes somewhat but also hurts v taper which is what I was talking about and dorian and ronnie both are notorious as having huge waists and being very blocky/huge everywhere. Now seems olympia is moving away from that look.
pic of ronnie to show how huge spinal erectors make waist look hugeLast edited by someonefat; 04-10-2009 at 02:47 AM.

DieselFella didn't deadlift till like 3 weeks ago and was bigger than 90% of the teen section haha.
They're skinny either because their diets are atrocious or they've just started. Anyone can get perfectly muscular without it.

Just stfu did you even read my post? I clearly said I had an injury, check my ****ing journal if you don't believe me. I would love to deadlift.
And 160lbs what are you talking about? You're 2 inches taller than me and 5lbs heavier... oh that makes you so superior doesn't it?
Plus this..
