there were some lawsuits against muscletech b/c people tested positive for nandrolone after using nitro-tech.
an olympic medalist and a pro nfl player both sued. google for it.Michael: Bros before hoes. Why? Because your bros are always there for you. They got your back after your ho rips your heart out for no good reason. And you were nothing but great to your ho, and you told her that she was the only ho for you. And that she was better than all the other hoes in the world. And then suddenly...she's not yo' ho no mo'.

see my posts in this thread to see why muscle tech products are not something I would ever recommend. I noticed this stuff while looking at some muscle-tech products.

what's all this talk about nitro-tech hardcore containing nandrolone, could this potentially harm my hormones. I currently take nitro-tech hardcore although im not the biggest muscletech fan, and i think its a pretty solid product however not quite worth the money. But this somewhat worries me that people say something with the hormones, please feel free to say what you know.

Either you are knowingly spreading garbage to someone looking for information or you are incredibly lazy and truthfully believe what you wrote.
The steroid accusations took place two years ago and were proven false. Mike Cloud, a RB for the Pats, had taken steroids and was trying to find a scapegoat (Nitro-Tech) to create doubt and clear his name.
There are no steroids in Nitro-Tech, and while it carries a high price tag, it is still a solid supplement."My only enemy is time." - Charlie Chaplin

I don't trust muscletech completely as a company bc a while back a bobsledder tested postive for norandrostenedione and androstenediol while taking nitrotech and couldn't compete in the olympics. He sent his tub of nitrotech to a lab for testing and it had the mentioned prohormones in it. For all I know, the bobsledder could have put those prohormones in the nitrotech or maybe it was actually tainted in production. I doubt there's anything in muscletech products now except for what's on the label, but you never know bc supplement companies aren't regulated by the FDA.
I'm not trying to bash muscletech bc I have taken anator and gakic with great results, but you never know. Here's an article on the bobsledder:
http://www.ergogenics.org/153.html
Frankly, I would stick with the basics and get a cheaper protein that's still quality like ON's 100% Gold whey protein, and save your money for the good stuff like gakic or anator. Currently, I'm not on anator though bc it's too expensive so I just mix whey, leucine and dextrose to get somewhat of the same results.

they tested positive for nandrolone or metabolites. due to the prohormones. you are dismissed sir.
"The former Boston College star's unfortunate situation began when he took a basic chocolate-flavored protein powder (Nitro-Tech) while with the Chiefs, then subsequently tested positive for metabolites of the steroid nandrolone. Nothing regarding nandrolone appeared on the label that would so much as hint at such an addition to the ingredients."

I'm not sure were you read they settled for anything. Last I heard they countersued Mike Cloud. I don't have time to look into it now unfortunately.
The bottom line is that it is completely illogical for MuscleTech to put steroids in their protein blend and if they did any kind of settlement, it very well could have been to avoid the bad press; however, I'll look into it in greater detail when I have the time."My only enemy is time." - Charlie Chaplin

2 years later is a long time, but has anything really come of the whole "steroid traces in Nitro Tech" ordeal? I figure that, in the past few years, it wouldn't be an issue as quality control probably improved for the sake of merely responding to people like Mike Cloud's accusations. But was it found true or false that Nitro Tech had steroidal traces in it? I've heard both sides, Cloud and his side saying that it was "proven" to have traces, and Muscle Tech's side, saying they've passed some "purity" tests (lol).
And another question: If they did indeed have steroidal traces in them, would the quantities likely be enough to actually affect people who took Nitro Tech? I realize that it may theoretically be enough to trigger a test like the ones taken by Cloud, but do the traces allegedly found in them have a substantial amount to stay in one's system for months?
