Just thought of a way to make a lot of money........
I recently found out that in Russia the markup for cars is alot greater than in the states. You can buy a car here for 20grand and sell it there for 30. So why not export them? It costs 1500 dollars to export a car. I have tons of family in Russia and all I need is a connection with a dealership or someone that can sell the cars for me. I also know someone who has a dealers license so I will get the cars at a much cheaper price. So misc. you think my idea will work? I can easily bring in thousands of dollars a month.

if it worked, somebody else would be doing it. there are probably huge costs in import fees, to protect the domestic russian car industry. all of your potential profit would probably be eaten up in fees. and, you would have to take into account that you could only be selling on the coast around vladivostock. anything further west will be getting cars from europe.

That is something that my Russian friends dad does. it takes weeks for the deal to be done and after all the hassle of it he rarely even gets more than 1 grand.

Other people have been doing it. My friend is 24 years old and is making 400 thousand dollars a year doing this. He's taking over his dads business which is exporting cars. Hes 24 yrs old driving a bentley continental so trust me yes you can do it and you can make tons of money. You just need to know the right people overseas who you can trust with the money and that is the hardest part. If you don't want to sell to people then you can sell to dealerships and just charge them more. They win either way because they are getting the car at a cheaper price than they would in their country.

Wow you must be the first person to ever think of that, I'm sure no regulations exist to hinder you making millions, no one could have possibly thought of such a brilliant scheme before!
Google Japanese vehicle imports if you want to see an area where this is actually successful, even then there's a lot more to pay then just shipping and the cars have to be at least 15years old to start with.

They always try to fk people over... there's a reason those cars are so expensive there... coz of all that hassle you have to go through and the ridiculous fees

Thats what this kid I worked with this summer did. He used all the money he made over the summer to buy a couple of cars, then he brought them back to Poland.= profit
