Well if it is rare then wouldn't that give you better odds than a product without the proven track record? After all, you don't see anyone recommending an OTC for AAS or harsher PH's.
Less face reality here. Some people are prone to gyno. They get it in puberty then turn around and do a PH/AAS cycle when they are 18 to 23 and pick it back up again. Lots of things can stave it off or delay it, only not pumping your body full of hormones may be the only way for some people to not get it. There are no guarantees and people need to understand that.
Some people use a SERM, but use it improperly and get rebound. It happens. But the honest to God truth is a SERM is more effective than an OTC product. You don't "need" a SERM for a lot of the stuff out there these days and OTC PCT products have improved, but you still can't beat a good SERM.
