I'd agree with that, and it's not like more gear = better etc. There's only so much that is useful. Just like over-eating is only useful with a mild calorie surplus, not a large one ... you get fat. Only so much is good.
In saying that, I would believe Ron takes more gear than a much lighter person (who is still sensible about his dosage). Merely to support such a massive body, and to keep building more tissue. The gut is evidence. My routine:
Mon - Biceps
Tues - Triceps
Wed - Biceps
Thurs - Triceps
Fri - Biceps
Sat - Triceps
Sun - Rest
You can't see back and legs, don't waste your time with that nonsense!

Name ANYONE in there mid 40's who came back in ANY sport, and was close to their best.
Only person I can think of is Dara Torres, that swimmer in the 2008 Olympics, set 2 American records at 40, and won 3 silvers. Only lost the godl in the 50 meter freestyle by .01 of a second.
Can't think of one single other athlete in any sport.IFBB Professional Bodybuilder

with all due respect dude, one of biggest reasons for this is naturally decreasing hormone levels past 30. this aint so much of a problem with this sport, cant be compared with any other sport. dont forget ronnie peaked in his late 30s & was in one of his best forms in 05 in his 40s. also unheard of in any other sport. his injuires are his only barrier
+ i dont think anyone is actually expecting him to come back close his best form. any strong showing will be considered great success. and with todays lineup being noticably weaker than in past yrs, it may mean a very high placing.Last edited by morderstwo; 04-10-2009 at 05:40 PM.

-Mohamed Ali came back. His last fight was at age 39. (Lost, but went the distance, only lost by decision)
-Bas Ruten Came back for an MMA fight after having not fought for 7 years. Won the match in 2006 at age 41.
With Coleman, he isnt coming back to win, he knows it will be very hard to pull that off. He is only coming back for his love for bodybuilding.Last edited by Rocky-Balboa; 04-11-2009 at 07:24 AM.

Thats bull****, bodybuilders in the 70 and 80s ate a lot of food too. I dont know why its so hard for people to accept that the guts in bodybuilding are due to DRUGS, thats it. Drugs are the only thing that have changed since the days without guts. Bodybuilders still lifted heavy ass weight and still ate a ton of food.
