For sh*ts and gobbles.... wut?
Yeah, I guess I'll make a log for the hell of it. I'm a powerlifter, I have competed, and equipped is better than raw, just sayin. I'm 16, and weigh 206-208 atm, bulking up to compete in the 220's at my next competition in july, then maintain and hopefully compete at a somewhat lean 220 in november.
As of now, my raw lifts are
Squat- 475-500, did 465 a few weeks back and it flew up, definately have 20+ lbs. in me still.
Bench- 300 is my best bench, I failed 305 not long ago.
Deadlift-575-600 pulled 565, but it went up pretty easy, definately have more in me.
So hoping to add a lot strength, and yeah, thats about it.
TODAYS(4/3/09) WORKOUT
DE Box Squats(off a box about 2 in. below parallel, I have it set there so I can assure hitting depth every time.
45X5
135X5
225X5
275X3
Add inzer breifs(with their whopping 10 lb. carryover!)
315X8X2
These flew up, felt real good, taped these, and comparing them to the westside guys training tapes, I should sit back a tad more, and keep my back a little more upright.
Deficit Speed Deads(Sumo, which I suck at)
365X1
365X1
2in. deficit 365X1
" "
4in. deficit 365X1
" "
Yeah these where good, fast and explosive, still doesnt compare to my conventional..
Romanion deads off a 6in. deficit
185X10
" "
" "
" "
Reverse Hyper(homemade brah)
4 sets of 10, no weight, and they felt great.
One Arm DB rows
100X10 for 4 sets
Pulldowns
Idk the weight, but 4 sets of 8(hey that rhymes)
Standing weighted crunches
Idk the weight, 4 sets of 10
And then some ankle exercises, for ankle rehabilitation, and pulled the sled for about 10 minutes, weather sucked so had to cut it a little short.
Yeah, good day.

Its equipped, and I havent worked in gear that heavily recently, pressed 365 of a one board in the shirt a little over a month ago I then did 385 of a one board but it was a touch and go(how I did it idk..) so I guess this is what I'm hoping for.
Squat-600+
Bench-400
Deadlift- 600+
its a few months away, so the goals could end up being more.

4/05/09 DE Upper
Before I start, big congrats to andy bolton with his 1008.6 lb. deadlift, I dont know him personally, but I still respect the hell out of him.
DE bench
Warmups
I use 3 differant grips for DE bench, close, somewhat close, and regular(for me its pinkies on rings)
185X3X3(weightXrepsXsets)
Add band doubled around wrists(this is more of a training tool to help you pull the bar apart as you bench, which activates the triceps more so. It forces you to pull apart because of the band tension pulling your arms in, so when you go to bench without them, you still try to pull the bar apart. I have noticed its been helping with my bench, so cant complain)
185X3X5
All flew up nicely, good fast reps, could still be a little faster off the chest imo.
CG bench(this was just take a weight, and rep it to failure, I decided to just do close grips)
225X12 Went well, good speed, had another rep, maybe two if I wanted to blow a blood vessel, but no spotter so didnt want to risk it incase I stalled out, besides I had more stuff to do.
Dips, Havent done these in a while, so decided to shake things up
BWX12X4
Seated Overhead DB Press
70'sX10X4 Went good, was thinking of going up to 80's, but tris where really getting worn on the last 2 sets, so decided against it.
V-Bar Rows
Idk weight, but 4 sets of 8
Then finished up with pull aparts with the band, good workout today.

I loled hard.
As for my regular deadlift, probably pushing 600, my reverse band deads arent much more then my regular deads, when my best band dead was 550, my best regular dead was 540.

well, not all the bands are the same colors, but you can tell which is which by size, infact all the mini's are leftovers from the bigger bands. Bench shirt work next week, going to be some really heavy weight moved(I hope)
