NASM just orderd
hey i just orderd the NASM starter, just wondering what everyone thinks of NASM and if you have takn it how hard was the test?

ya? i took the prac test on the web site n it seemd like u needed to know a lot of random stuff lol

Well, its just like studying for any other college type exam. Just memorize their concepts and terms, even if you don't agree with them.
Once you have your certification, all it does is hang on the wall. It is then your decision to make things happen! Good luck with the test and with the training career

This.
Memorizing the chart with all movement assessments, over and under active muscles, and stretches and exercises to help. That is very important.

I have to back this statement up 100% as i just took the test last week and passed it. The bulk of the test material was om the OPT model and over/underactive muscles. The test wont be easy if you dont put the time in studying. If you do put the time in studying it should go well.

oh alright cool thanks... ya i havnt been in a class sence 2005.. been in the military so iv done some of thoes classes but nothing like this... i do real everythign i can about everyhting lol so hopefully it wont be to hard

Curious, did the nasm go over muscle imbalances? Just something I wanted to learn a few things about? Still debating on the cert I'm going for.

All the certs should go over muscle imbalances, I took the ISSA course and within their 700 page book, it talked about them.

Yes, NASM does cover muscle imbalances. I big part of the test is identifying and correcting them through stretching and strengthening exercises.
