I have like middle-aged equipment, so everything is pure steel. No rubber.
So, when I first got the equipment, after my chest workout, I took out one side.. and whoops, 20kg of weights drops on the floor along with the bar at 2 am. My parents got home 4 mins after that... made such a hole in the floor. Almost shat my pants.

Wut. So basically one iron plate fell on the floor. You make it sound as if it was at least 3 plates or something.

lol.. first mistake ive ever made when i started lifting weights.. i was tryna bench more than i could handle at the time, i did 1 rep and struggled to put the bar on the hooks.. i have one of those home gym benches with the flys too, so when the bar tipped it got caught on one of the flies.. then in panic, i lift up the bar off the flies, 45lbs of plates miss my toes by an inch.. talk about luck..

I did something similar. My friend was holding a plate in the air while attached to the bar. (We finished deadlifting and were taking off the plates.) He told me to slide the bar out b/c he couldn't move it. I did as he said while the plate was in the air. Next thing I know 45lbs of iron crashing into my big toe. No shoes on, this was like 7 months ago, and its still bruised.

Im always paranoid about this happening, i dont bench but for rack pulls, i always make sure theres no bigger imbalance of 35 pounds on either side. Mostly cause my gym is small if anything flies someones getting hit.

in high school one guy was maxxin with 425... the idiots took all the weight off of one side and the bar flipped over after the last plate and swung with enough force to decapitate someone... noone got hurt thankfully

I done the same thing in my bedroom bench. UNFORTUNATELY it fell straight through my mice cage (15kg plate) and shattered it to pieces, luckily, my mice were running around in their little running balls otherwise I would have been a murderer.
But yes, I have seen people do it in the gym. It's quite embarrassing really.

Haha man one of my mates were doing weighted dip's on the edge of the squat rack.i put a 20kg plate on his lap and he asked for one more.so i got another 20kg plate and tryna be a smartass i droped it from a decent height to get on top of the other plate that was already on his lap.next thing i was jumping so high screaming because i was leaning to far forward and my dick was already resting on the 20kg plate that was on his lap already so when i droped the other plate it got sandwiched.i ran down to the bathroom and i had a blood blister on my knobb and a bruise.it was fukedddd my mates were crying of laughter.true story bro
