    injuries

I was playing soccer and got a bad tackle. Out for 4 weeks. I have a soft tissue injury in my left quad now.

Obviously I can't train for the next month or so. How do I stop my progress from going away? Will I just have to keep my diet in check, maybe cut down on a few calories since I will have to be lazy.

Have you ever been injured and how di dyou deal with it?

personally, when i fractured my ankle playing football, i bought a good ankle brace, took lots of ibuprofin, and played on it. +1 for the stupid things ive done in my life, since its been about 1.5 years and still hurts when i run.

it says in your sig that your getting lean then bulking up - i suggest bulking a bit now. no need to be lazy just becasue you cant use your legs. you should still be able to work upper body without too much strain on your quad.

if you dont want to do that, i suggest getting crutches, even if you dont need them. it might help heal quicker, but more importantly, it burns about 3 times many calories than walking. so whenever your going somewhere, your compensating for the calories you should be losing while playing soccer, and you wont have to change your diet too much.

cool ya I have crutches at the moment cos I cannot put any weight on it at all. I think ill rest it for 2 weeks and not train in the gym because it is difficult to sit down and bend it etc. I say ill be able to start weight training in 2 weeks, and then back to soccer in about 4-6 weeks. Ill just keep my protien up and keep my diet, that way, hopefully ill be ok. Thanks for your advice.
