figured i'd update this for anyone who cared/experience this themselves/or his a lump that they haven't had checked out yet.
i found out this morning that the lump is a tumor that has a 99% chance of being cancerous.
i'm having my nut removed at 2 PM tomorrow and then will find out in a day or 2 whether the cancer has spread to other parts of my body. since they think it's early, the cancer prolly hasn't spread but they will know for sure in a few days.
i appreciate everyone who had kind words for me. thanks.

aww man, so sorry to hear about that, but its a VERY good thing you are getting it taken care of right away. From what ive heard prognosis is usually good for this when it's taken care of quick.
ps, if I had reps to give id getcha in the green, although thats probably the last thing yer worried about now

ya. believe it or not, it really doesn't matter to me
outside the possibility that the cancer may have spread to another part of my body, the next worst part is i can't lift anything heavier than 10 pounds for 2 weeks and can't work out for a month.
it really pisses me off b/c i've put on 8 pounds last month by just eating a bit more and working out daily. so all that work is gonna go to waste while i have to chill for a month.

I had a scare with testicular cancer about 8 years ago. The doc's weren't as sure about the lump so they opened me up and did a biopsy while I was still on the table. Luckily it came back negative and am only missing about 1/4 of the testical.
I can sympathize with all the thoughts that are probably racing around your head. Kudos to you getting it checked out asap. Testicular cancer is very treatable if caught early.

if you lose your testicle, do your testosterone levels drop?

i got back from the hospital like 15 minutes ago. just watching TV and waiting for a sandwich so i figured i would update you guys.
the operation went good. the 1st nurse i had was an 8.5/10 and really cool. only so much flirting i can do w/ her knowing i'm gonna have 1 nut in an hour. lol.
2nd nurse was a little pricky but not that bad. operation went smooth and the doctor is pretty sure the cancer didn't spread anywhere else in my body according to the x-rays. i'll know for sure in a few days.
the funny thing now (wasn't too funny at the time) was this. there were a few pages of paperwork and on the front page it said my left nut was gonna be removed. however, on the last page it said both my nuts were being removed. so i prolly clarified it 50 times with about 10 different people that only ONE of my nuts was being removed.
hopefully everything turns out good. i appreciate all the support you guys!

Testosterone levels don't really drop, as other parts of your body make up for the lost testicle (testicles aren't the only thing that produce testosterone, you always hear about girls having some testosterone, just as males have some estrogen). I got my left removed from cancer also, man. It wasn't that bad, as long as it didn't spread (mine didn't), recovery should be quick (for most testicular cancers, it is a few months of treatment, I had 1 year of chemotherapy treatments before they let me go). If you have any questions about it you can pm me, or ask here if you don't give a ****.
Bright side: Apply for scholarships, just for having cancer you can get thousands of dollars for school. Yeah brah
EDIT: Guys who are worried, you'll know if you have cancer, especially because you should have 1 normal testicle to compare to, so if they aren't similar (one is like really hard or lumpy), I'd get it checked out. I was 13 when mine happened and let my left nut get to the size of a baseball before I finally asked a doctor.
They tell patients there is a only 2% chance they will die, but it is really 0%. They can fix it.Last edited by SenorSan; 04-01-2009 at 03:50 PM.
