i was just wondering how long i can wait to drink my shake after i mix it. id like to add berries and fruit to my vanilla sjakes when i make them at 7:00am in the moring. but i dont finish my workout till 1 in the afternoon.

depends whats in them. just protein and milk/water will be fine for a day or two. if you have fruits that oxidize its gonna taste like **** pretty quick.

just bring two bottles, one with powder and one with water. there is a time limit if its mixed

If it's refridgerated, it will be OK for the most part. If it's sitting around, the value of the functional peptides [biologically active / immunological properties] would be time dependantly reduced if anything. The aminos won't disappear. But it does take a while for it to be statistically significant. A denatured protein is not a destroyed protein though.
This would be the main concern however if it's not chilled. Not that you'll get sick for sure from 6 hours of growth time unless your immune system is compromised.
Q. Why should I mix protein into a drink and consume it immediately?
Immediately does not mean instantly. However, drinking within 30 minutes of mixing is smart since pure protein in the liquid form is an extremely fertile environment for airborne bacteria growth. Leaving a protein drink (reconstituted from powder) in a refrigerator for two hours is probably okay, but not overnight.It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
