Cheat Meal???
I was wondering if you have cheat meals what is your meal of choice?? Do you have a certain day of the week when you do it(bi-wkly even), certain time and do you count the cal intake of that meal.
I'm a huge cookie junkie and I'll eat cookies when I cheat and I do it around dinner time. If i'm being good with my diet i'll make my cheats bi-weekly plus it saves me money from eating out with friends cause they know that i'm dieting!!!

I'm a chocolate junky and have some every day. I just work it into my diet plan. I only eat dark chocolate with very good ingredients. What I'd suggest is getting picky about your cookies and buying or making some that have the best for you type ingredients. And of course still taste good. Gotta have that.

I have a very big sweet tooth, and my "cheat" is usually really sugary (dessert)...i try, most of the time, try to make my cheat works for me: i'll take it before or after my most intense day (leg), so its giving me energy and/or refuel my muscle's glycogen!! but i'm not always doing that, sometimes i'll have a dinner with friends and then just go back on track the next morning (with cardio first thing in the morning!)

cinnamin toast crunch with vanilla soymilk FTW...
I'm on a diet mental health break...but I generally try to stay away from obsessing about my cheats...even when I was hardcore dieting
but I do agree that if there is something you feel you need to have on a regular basis..you should find some way to make it fit into your macros. I know I've seen protein cookie recipes...
I used to love chef jay's lite bites...not the healthiest...but they do have decent macros..

Dinner in a different nice restaurants are normally what I eat...including appetizers, dessert and drinks! Every so often I do pizza or burgers, but I don't normally appreciate them as much as a nice night out.

I don't really consider myself to 'cheat', I just work a little of what I like into my diet. I'm not really into the idea of scheduled cheats- it often leads to obsessing about what you'll be eating and of course binging. A diet has to work for you both physcially and mentally if it's for the longterm, so I'd definitely suggest figuring out how you can incorporate those cookies into your diet in healthy moderation. I agree with freebird to be picky about ingredients and taste- not only is it better for you healthwise, but you tend not to need as much of something to feel satisfied if it's rich and good quality.

I don't schedule cheats, but my cheat of choice is pizza. It has been, and always will be, my very favorite food :P. And then whenever we go out to eat (one or twice a week), lunch or dinner, I order what I want, not whether or not it's healthy. And I have smaller cheats throughout the week like I might have a scoop of ice cream one night or some cookies one afternoon. Moderation is the key that has helped me break through lots of barriers with the eating disorder so I'm sticking with that.

I don't have cheats. I always fit them into my macros. But for some strange reason this week I was binging on cake. I ate almost 1/2 of my fathers big birthday cake from a bakery. This is the first time I have ever done something like this, and I don't know why, I just couldn't stop myself, it's pretty bad, especially since I'm diabetic and all that sugar must have been horrendous on my body. I had to throw it out to stop myself from eating anymore.

Ummmm cake...My mother had her 50th bday this past tuesday...Lets say death by chocolate!!! I begged my brother to take it home with him but he still had his bday cake from sunday(they are a day apart). I had like the smallest piece ever but a headache soon followed,I cant tolarate sugar like I use too.
I couldn't have my "cheats" intomy diet I know myself to well that I'd go overrboard with it so I have to be have them bi-wkly now. I noticed even when have cheat meals I never really go nuts with it,I always go to the healthy section of the meal and order. Also, I always go online and look at the nutritional facts of the resturants and that pretty much seals the deal on what I get(so much cals, sodium and fat) it's crazy!!!

I have on cheat meal on Saturday nights. I don't overeat to the point of feeling sick but I eat enough to feel thoroughly satisfied. I totally believe in cheatmeals and I believe you can still accomplish all your goals if you have one a week and I also think that having only one a week (provided you work really hard and eat very strictly all week) makes you appreciate the food even more. Its almost like it tastes 10x better...its strange how reducing the intake of cheat food so drastically can make it taste so good when you get it on a night you deserve it.

I try to work them in, mainly because I am very obsessive =(
but yeah I'm also guilty of going online and looking up nutritional info so i know exactly what to order and how much of the meal I will actually eat. very very bad since i rarely go out to dinner as is.
my favorite cheat food of all time is chocolate frosted donuts with sprinkles! yum yum!
my last big cheat day consisted of- half of a large margarita pizza, 2 cupcakes, 3 (yes three epic froyos! dc versions of pinkberry) 8oz frozen yogurts with fruit on top, a small gelato, a slice of vegan pizza from whole foods and a big moro bar from a british shop.
I was in DC and took advantage of all of the amazing food shops we don't have in Baltimore.

You can accomplish your goals even with eating more than one cheat meal a week (unless your goal is to step onstage in days) . I don't know, but for some people, like me, limiting my cheats to only certain days or limiting the number of cheats I'm allowed to have leads to obsessiveness. That's great if you can limit to once a week, but just saying a person CAN accomplish their goals even if not quite as rigid about that stuff. I'm not super strict about my diet and things are so much better for me as a result.
