I was thinking about it, still in Iraq but coming home soon. Trying to decide if 5 months is enough time to get competition ready. It would be my first one and I'm still not sure about what my body can do. I know I put muscle on fast, so thats nice. I live in SC so I missed all the good ones to go see there, *bummed*. If I don't compete I definitely want to go just to get the experience and watch everyone, cheer people on, lol!Motivation. Dedication. Inspiration. ~ Three words to live by.

NPC bikini
Morrison,
Maybe you can help me out with a few pointers on what the judges are looking for in the bikini division. My fiance and client Mandalee on bodyspace ( check her out) competed in the Elite last Nov, and also did the Charlotte Cup in April. She didnt place in either. of course I am partial and I think she should have placed in top 5 at the Elite and most def the top 3 at the Cup in the tall class. We are doing the Golds Classic in 3 weeks. I have been doing a lot of research and I am noticing a trend of girls who are a bit more muscular winning and placing but thats mostly in NC. Now a few of the girls who havent placed in the NC shows are going to GA and Florida and placing higher. I am a big supporter of this sport and I refuse to believe that the qualifications or guidelines are different from state to state. Your help and feedback would be great!"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

I believe bikini is judged on mainly shape, complexion, and overall "healthy and vibrant" look
it's real easy to get too muscular or too lean. i would advise clients to be taking in at least 20g of fish oil daily to get the complexion and "glowing" look in the hair, etc...
...but in the end, it really just depends on what the judges like or who pleases their eye the most, really, its a huge crap shoot...imnoting

Big Mike,
I think its pretty common about the different state thing. Seems weird but I want to say its true. I know each state has there own NPC standard committee and that they pull their judges from them because they are NPC. I don't know if its necessarily wrong or not, but just judges preference. "to each their own" etc. Anyway hope this helps, check out the SC shows too, we have a bunch of shows coming up down here.Motivation. Dedication. Inspiration. ~ Three words to live by.

Absolutely, thanks for all the help. We are doing the Golds Classic in Wilmington June 12th and the Another August 21 in Duluth GA. thats her hometown and We will be taking time after that to plan a wedding and probably take time to build some muscle and tackle it again in a year or so! We had thought about the Palmetto but it was just too much dieting in a short period of time.

No prob! Congrats on the wedding plans! The palmetto cup had a decent amount of bikini girls, and I still can't figure out all that they look for in that dept since I like figure and fitness more. Seems like the south is a huge hub for BB so there is always a so you can do!
