I've finished reading the manual and I have until 4/09/09 to review.(Next available test date)
What should I be expecting? What were a lot of the questions about? What were some questions that threw you off?
Just overall what would you recommend I really stress on reviewing?
Thanks

ACE certified for about 3 years
Hey guys,
It has been a while since I took my test but I will emphasize a few points...
Make sure you OVERSTUDY. ACE has a high % of people who have to take the test twice (I had to). I am an Exercise Physiology major and I thought I had my material down good. The sample questions they give you will be WAY easier than the average question on the test.
Most the questions will be like this... What cardiovascular program would you recommend for an individual with X goals?
a. Good Answer
b. Ok Answer
c. Good Answer
d. ACE's "purposed" best answer
All answers will sound like the right answer, but the hard part is figuring out which one ACE would prefer... Hope this doesn't confuse you.
Any specific questions?~Carpe Diem!

Also Ace certified
Hey guys I'm an Exercise Physiology major also and got my ACE cert in 07. I honestly had no problem with it, I read only two chaps of the book and passed the test without taking too long. Take the practice tests for sure, they will help a lot and then just don't get all scared and nervous before you take the test. If you did study the whole book, then you should be fine - take the practice test then look over what you missed. It's really not that hard of a test!
Good luck!

Sounds like they got their testing methods from Microsoft.
How do you delete a file?
1. Right click, delete.
2. Drag to recycle bin
3. Open cmd prompt and type del <filename>
4. Bust your head open on this desk figuring this out.
Generally though most want the best answer even if they are all right. If you follow that rule you will do fine. That's what I did on similiar tests and never failed one yet as long as you do study.

^This. I'm also a non-exercise related degree (Economics) and I passed the test in about 7 weeks of studying, but I studied almost daily. Just use the program they offer-notes, books, guides, etc. (the 300 dollar package) and you'll do great. Its a straightforward test, but there ARE some questions that have more than one GOOD answer, but they'll ask for the BEST "course of action."
also, you should really get a good grip on the cholesterol, blood pressure, heartrate, bodyfat, and VO2 readings. You'll need to do a lot with these, especially interpreting people's blood pressure and cholesterol readings and deciding what they are/aren't capable ofOne Word: STAND.
