Angry Sore collar bone / shoulder

I was doing BB incline bench press today on a weight I have been training with the past 3-4 weeks allowing me to do 4-6 reps. However today on coming up after my 1st reps I felt at that time something that felt like it popped in my shoulder. However not it tend to be more towards my collar bone.

After this I could no weight on my collar bone/shoulder and even doing the lightest BB bench would render my arm useless. I get a strong sting sensation when lifting as if a knife is being stuff into me.

Im pretty sure its not the shoulder. However not sure if it is just muscle or a torn ligament or worse. The pain is definitely coming more from the collar bone and even raising my arm in a certain angle hurts like hell.

Any advice on what it could be and recovery time as im obv. going to be out for a few weeks at least.

Does the stringing feel like it comes more from the rotator cuff? Or is it more from the collar bone part below your neck?

Sounds like a mild separation, the bone moves away from the joint connecting your collar bone and shoulder blade. Ice it if it's inflamed and probably see a doctor before returning to the gym. If you haven't got healthcare insurance.. don't know lol, I wouldn't suggest taking anybodies advice before seeing a doctor.

i would say rotator cuff wherever that is :P

its not the collar bone directly by the neck but more so kind of where is joing on the shoulder. the bigish bone close to the end of your shoulder. if i apply pressure i can feel that somethings not 100% there. whichever way even having to raise my arms, i can feel pressure there

It's a mild separation then. Doctor can't do much for you short of prescribing medication or something. Wear a sling if it bothers you a lot and just don't lift anything for a bit until it's feeling better. After a week if it isn't any better, see a doctor for sure.

Just to be on the safe side I went to the doctors. They said I did not tear my rotator cup as I would not be able to move my arm at all.

I got anti inflammatory, anti arthritic tabs for a month and FASTUM gel. Said I can also go to physio but other than that they cant inspect more. If it's doesnt get better I should go back and then I can go see a specialist.

A realy pain and the hole and a mayor pain in the shoulder. lol. angry, p'd and disappointed as now im out of training just as I started getting some results. Just hope it heals cause fu.. it hurts like hell!!

Thanks for the advice ntl bud!
