no i did not tear mine, my buddy did a few months ago, and is 98% recovered. However, the doctor told him not to weightlift for a few months when it first happend.. I don't think it would be bad to workout upper body while having a torn ACL....(but then again im no doctor) can u damage yourself more if you do? Just a curious question, thanks!!

i tore my mcl and acl last july , stayed away for a month, and went back to the gym , work upperbody , kinda tuff cause i could really brace myself with my knee torn up , but i managed , and now im back to full blown training legs and all , no pain, no surgery , just depends on if he wants to, and if he can handle a little annoying pain....

im 7 weeks post surgery and ive been working out full upper body for 2 weeks, PT said its fine as long as there is no knee pain, discomfort is ok, but sharp pains are not
