Bohica Arms FAR-50 MK-III Upper Reciever
So, I am severely bitten by the AR-15 bug, I had to cancel my m4 kit awhile ago due to finances but work is picking back up so I am going for it.
Here is my question, Bohica offers a .50 bmg upper for a AR-15 Lower, has anyone heard reviews about bohica?
Could I essentially have the complete bohica upper, and buy a 5.56/223 upper and just switch them out depending on how I want to shoot for that day? Are there any major technical hurdles or is it simple, pop and lock?
I just think I am killing 2 birds with one stone, I get an ar-15, and a .50bmg for much cheaper than a single Armalite, Barrett etc.

I had one on order a while back and ended up canceling it. It was back and before Chris came out with his new break. They seem to be pretty decent setups from what I've heard and read. I think there's some modification needed to the hammer IIRC.
If you're really serious about getting into the fifity cal realm you need to consider how you're going to feed it. We're talking $3.50 per shot at best(with pulled surplus components) $5 for the good stuff(Hornady 750gr and Barnes 800gr match bullets). Either way you're going to need to reload unless you are just looking for a big paper weight to collect dust in the back of the safe.
It took a long time on the waiting list to get a call from Chris and when he did finally call I wasn't in the position to fund the endeavor. Personally I think he could have came up with a better acronym for his company name but whatever...

I am interested in getting into it, but not in the sense that I would do it EVERY weekend. I am getting an AR-15 once I save up, and figured, what the hell, if I am ever in north Florida(has the .50 ranges) I could swap the uppers, and whatever else and have a day where I could practice shooting much further. But ya, I understand the price, which is why I liked the idea of it utilizing the AR Lower, 1k + ammo cost is much better for me to justify then 3K+ lol

'mirin guns?
For the price I'd just save a little more and get an armalite AR50.
That's just me though. I haven't done a ****-ton of .50BMG research though so I dunno.
