Trying to maintain strength during sports season (baseball)

Alright so baseball season just started for me and i will prolly only be able to work each muscle group once a week, not very hard each time either. Any suggestions for lifting. Should I do fewer reps at higher weight, or vice versa? Any help would be much appreciated.

Since you won't be going very hard each time, the best thing I could see you doing would be low sets - high reps. This will help build up muscular endurance and help prevent injury as well. Not only will you get stronger(at a slower pace), but you'll maintain your strength as well. IMO, I suggest that you focus more on your shoulders/arms since throwing is the biggest part of the game and strengthening them will save you wear and tear in the long run, especially on your throwing arm. Hope that helps bro
