let me rephrase the question. in order to look more cut you do higher reps right? and in order to get more strength you do lower reps with heavier weights. if i try to gain more strength, would i also look thicker in the arms, chest, back w/e? or do i need to eat a **** ton more and looker thicker??? not really tryna cut right now, but im trying to look thicker and build muscle/strength.

you need to eat a lot and work with heavier weight to gain hypertrophy which is what i'm assuming you meant by "more meat on your bones", just do 5x5 IMO

It all depends on how you respond to that particular training regimen.
Indeed with strength comes thickness as well.
But the main hypertrophy rep scheme is 8-12.
I would suggest upping your daily input of clean foods followed by a hypertrophic training scheme.
