    Is it bad to eat meat 3 days out of the week (if Im ok with my calorie intake)

    If im at 40/40/20 is it ok to eat meat, extra ground beef, sirloin 3 days (a couple of meals a day) out of the week? I was told by 1 trainer that i should only have meat/beef about 1 or 2 meals out of the week.

    Is that correct?

    umm, a lot of people eat meat 3 times a day. nothing wrong with meat. a good source of protein. not really sure why a personal trainer would tell you that. did he tell you what foods you would have to eat to make up the protein after not eating the meat? or possibly suggest protein shakes?

    Personally, I would recommend that you switch up the protein sources throughout the day. Some eggs/milk in the morning, chicken, fish, turkey, whey, casein, and steak. You have other protein sources and I say it's beneficial to use many of them.

    You are not vegeterian are you? Ideally you should have meat or some other source of protein with every meal to make it complete i.e containing carbs, protein, and fats.

    He probably meant that you should limit your beef intake, not all meat. It's not very good for your colon, so you can just add more variety to your protein sources, or use some cleansing fiber supplement. I used to eat beef a lot and never had problems to be honest.
