Hear what you can learn
When you hear only what you want to hear, you're not really listening. Listen to what you don't want to hear as well. That's how you'll learn. That's how you'll grow. That's how you'll get stronger.
Though you may be confident in your knowledge, no one knows it all. No one has everything figured out. Others have much to teach you. Let their words add value to your life. There are opinions not your own which are very much worth considering.
Listen to learn. Really listen and consider what others have to say. If someone were to provide a sumptuous meal to you, would you leave it half eaten? When someone is gracious enough to share their knowledge and experience with you, make the most of a great opportunity. Listen and hear not only what you thought you wanted to hear. Listen and hear what you have to learn.M O O N spells LBM

After a week out of touch in reading the thread, it's nice to come back and read what I've missed..
I'm always able to make a connection to what's going on in my life at the moment.
Regardless if you are pasting them from elsewhere - keep them coming.
Thanks!

Be free
Be free, and savor every little grain of existence that dances before your eyes. Beauty and joy are not what someone says they are. You know them because of the way they fulfill you. Your own doubt is your opponent's greatest strength. Carry yourself beyond it and see the sparkling universe which whirls with possibility around you.
Free yourself from the burden of your own anxiety. Whatever is, is already. Whatever you will be, is yours to create right now. Live each moment with all you have, not just with whatever has survived the worry.
This is the best day that has ever been, though some may attempt to convince you otherwise. Free yourself from their addictions of limitation. Life is yours to live. Though it is gritty, it is real. Though sadness comes, it is possible only because you care so much. Let go and live the joyful experience that is yours.M O O N spells LBM

Learn from it
When the result is not what you expected, learn from it. When you get the result you want, learn from that too. Every experience is a wonderful opportunity to learn.
Wisdom comes from learning the difficult lessons which experience teaches. With wisdom comes respect, authority and effectiveness. You pay a hefty price for wisdom, and yet what you get is even more valuable than what you paid.
It is indeed difficult to console yourself to "learning from this" when things fail to go your way. It is much easier to get angry, to get depressed, to complain or even to forget about the whole thing. But when you do that, you end up paying the price without getting any value in return.
Whatever happens, let it increase your wisdom and, ultimately, your success. Whatever happens, get past the concerns of the moment and learn from it.M O O N spells LBM

Here to there
You can get from here to there. In fact, you've already begun the journey.
You can live the life you envision. So fill that vision with sound and color, with texture and rich detail.
Right now, as the result of what you are doing, you are going somewhere. Choose to make it somewhere you truly want to be.
The fulfillment of your dreams may seem to be a long way off. And yet, even in this very moment you can feel the joy of living those dreams.
Get busy and get on your way, for the path stretches out in front of you. Keep yourself inspired and in motion with your vivid imagination of how it will feel to arrive.
You know you can get from here to there, and you know how truly fulfilling it will be. Already, you're making great progress.

Thanks for keeping these going - I have read them all since I joined here.
When I miss you, I don?t have to go far ? I just have to look inside my heart because that?s where I?ll find you.
If you have love in your life it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you don't have it, no matter what else there is, it's not enough."

Get going quickly
As soon as you make a decision, do something about it. Lock in your commitment with immediate action.
Your decisions flow from your inner purpose. Harness the immense power of that purpose by acting on those decisions without delay.
At the moment you decide to do something positive and fulfilling, your passion is fully engaged. Keep that passion burning by acting on it right away.
While you're intimately in touch with the reasons why, begin to work on how. Use your motivation to jumpstart your actions, and then your actions will increase your level of motivation.
Instead of wondering how you'll get it done, start experimenting to find what works best. Know right away how great it feels to be making positive progress.
You've chosen to move forward, so there's no reason to delay. In fact there is every reason to get going quickly and to keep going strong.

Hooked on success
Celebrate your achievements, no matter what their size. Feel how great it feels to take focused, disciplined action and to make something happen.
Use each small success as motivation to create more success. Be so truly thankful for what you've done that you are compelled to do much more.
It feels so good to know you've made a difference. Get yourself addicted to that feeling.
Get yourself hooked on positive, meaningful success by treasuring and valuing and celebrating every accomplishment. The more thankful you are for what you've done, the more motivated you'll be to do it again.
Let yourself feel great about it, and enjoy that delightful feeling. You'll be well on your way to making it happen again and again.

Make it fun
The more you enjoy the work you do, the more successful you'll become at doing it. When you enjoy your work, you put your own special value into it. That causes it to yield even more value in return.
There's no need to wait for your fantasy job to come along in order to enjoy the work you do. Whatever you're doing, the main ingredient in making it enjoyable is your attitude.
There's a widely held assumption that work is not fun, that it is some kind of punishment. That assumption is not shared by the most successful people in this world. Those who can find a way to make any kind of work enjoyable are the ones who accomplish great and astounding things.
What's the difference between working and enjoying yourself? There doesn't have to be a difference. Look at your work, whatever it is, as an opportunity for enjoyment. See how much more effective and satisfied you become.M O O N spells LBM

Agree!
Fantasy jobs - you may have a period of having a 'fantasy' job, but I am sure after a while the fantasy wears off and your back to reality. I travel alot for work O/seas, used to be 1x a month - now it's every few months. Some would say that it is a dream to be able to travel and work, I used to think like that but after 13 years of it the novelty wears off.
Attitude - this is the key in my books. Having a positive attitude to work / life / family / health is by far the most important thing. You'd would be surprised how your attitude can soon influence the attitude of those around you.

The results will come
Though each effort does not bring an immediate result, keep going. The results will come.
Every achievement requires many efforts. Those individual efforts combine with each other to bring the desired result.
So keep going. Keep adding one effort on top of the ones before it.
And all the while, learn. Learn what works and what does not, and adjust your efforts to become even more effective.
Keep going, keep learning, keep working and keep getting better. Every day, every effort brings you closer.
Persistence is the way you prove you really want it. Persist, and you will have it.

The big problems
If you're constantly worried about little, trivial problems and annoyances, you'll end up getting little, trivial results. Yet when you tackle a big, major problem your energy is directed toward producing significant positive results.
Many people never get ahead simply because their problems are not big enough to draw them forward. Too many lives are wasted fighting little, petty, but comfortable battles over and over again.
If you're going to make a mark on this world you'll need to rise above the petty concerns which keep others from realizing their true potential. Put yourself on the line. Get yourself some challenges with substance, and they'll propel you toward great achievements. Welcome those big, sticky, complicated problems. In them are your most powerful opportunities.M O O N spells LBM
