good to take a week off?

So i heard its a good idea to take a week off training if you been training for a while, so i did
...i feel like i lost everything! (its probably all in my head) but anyways,... is it really a good idea to keep taking week breaks after working out for a couple months? is it really needed?

You feel like you lost everything? It's definitely all in your head.

Yes, a week off is really needed. After 4 weeks of training, I have a deloading week where I try to avoid the gym and if I can't avoid it, I just do simple bodyweight stuff and no heavy weights.

You'll feel much better when you get back in the gym.
