Supplement to help cutting? (My stack, comment please)
Supplement to help cutting? (My stack, comment please)
Hello.
My train is 3-4times a week with weight trainning and 30minutes of cardio. Eat 6times/day meals. high protein, low carb, low fat, good fat.
i drink 1 scoop of dymatize 12 hours before work out and before bed, and 1 scoop of ast vp2 after workout.
I also eat ast 32x multivitamins, fish oil.
I have a plan to buy some supplements to help cutting.
They are :
1. Beta alanine
2. L-carnitine
3. L-Glutamine
4. Bcaa's(leucine,iso leucine,valine) or aminos(any opinion?)
Any suggestion, comment or something?
It will help me much.
Thanks.

most of those are not needed and will not help with cutting... actually... all are not needed and without a good diet/ good training - non will be beneficial in cutting either.
So unless you specifically have reasons to take them (eg: you have stomach concerns or immune disease problems which mean glutamine would be helpful.... or you have specific workout goals which would mean beta-alanine would be useful) then don't waste your money.

I agree without good diet and trainning, supplements are just help, not a magic pills
i'll drop bcaas and L-carnitine. Because bcaas are already on dymatize 12hours and ast vp2 whey ingredients.
I'll buy glutamine, i read that it can raises GH in human body.
beta alanine is more helpful for what?
Thanks

Beta Alanine = an amino acid (the beta form of Alanine).... and in the body it is a rate limiting nutrient/step/molecule (means 'essential') for carnosine production.
And more available carnosine = decreased fatigue and better strength.
It also acts as a pH buffer in the muscle - which aids to prevent acid accumulation in muscles and can therefore help in stamina.

IMO, my own personal "If I was stuck on an island with one cutting supplement, what would it be?" is a BCAA...

LOL.... *no bias*
Personally - if I were cutting and I were stuck on an island... I'd probably go for something like a good fish oil and things like calcium/vit D/ Mg.... a multi if required... you know, that sort of thing.
**edit** actually.... now that I think about it... caffeine... I'd probably go for caffeine.... and lots of it...

if i were stuck on an island without easy access to food i don't think i'd need any extra help to lose fat.
i'd pocket the cash and order a ticket back home.

l-glutamine hasn't been shown clinically to do what the claims are, so personally, I would not take it. Beware of reading articles that list scientific articles that have nothing to do with what is in the text (ie. the reference does not back up the text!).
BCAAs can help with recovery. BCAAs are a breakdown product of proteins, and you don't need to supplement them. And yes, sometimes BCAAs are added to your protein powder.
I recommend BCAAs (such as Xtend, Purple Wraath) to people who may be working out/recovering without dietary aminos circulating in their system. Specifically, people who work out on an empty stomach (although I don't recommend it), or people who work out first thing in the morning. Otherwise, your body HAS BCAAs from a previous meal, from the chicken breast, protein powder, or whatever you ate.
l-carnitine has a very limited use to help fat loss, and studies on it do not make it promising enough to recommend it.
Beta alanine is great if you feel you need more endurance. It can help you push through an endurance style lifting routine or cardio. Note that it could take at least a month before you see the effects from it.

But let's say bbing.com sent you a flare letter that said, "Hey Miranda! We heard you were stuck on an island! Please use our 10% off 'Come back' coupon to order something"

All BCAA powder is the same, but Xtend has the reputation for tasting the best and dissolving the best.

Yes, I read the reviews many people have a good experience with xtend. I'll compare the products again
