by u dont have to go to number 2 anymore are u saying u cant go for the 2nd poop session in the washroom?
if so, i dont think its a problem. i mean i personally have a slow metabolism, and i go about once a day. and still managed to cut weight.
but if uv allways been hitting the washroom for 2+ times a day, maybe u might want to add some more fiber into your diet.
oh and also are u drinking lots of water? doing cardio?Goals:

i've always had slow metabolism, but this is happening to me, too...
i'm eating healthy, but maybe not as much as i should... i'm not completely sure. i find caffeine does the trick but i'm trying to cut down on coffee cuz i sweat too much in my face and forehead and i think i have anxiety issues. i guess i just gotta see what happens...

weird side note but anyone notice that you get more swamp ass eating more protein? Freaking killing myself at night when I first started upping my protein intake.
Anyways yea try upping the fiber, may wanna see a dr. if it continues for longer. They got fiber powder. My buddy uses it when he goes on his liquid diets for wrestling and stuff.

This makes no sense.
Since I started eating clean I poop 2-3x as much as I used to when I ate dirty everyday.
Are you on keto? Are you eating fruits/veggies/ww bread? Are you eating any other sources of fiber? Are you drinking enough water?

Eat more veggies. That's the key to getting everything working smoothly down there. It may not work all in one day but give it a day or two along with enough water (possible fortified with potassium). Stuff like celery or asparagus is great. At night I fill up on it so that in the morning all is well.. lol.
don't call me bro.

"Your body is just working at 100% proficiency"
this is really the only thing i can think of. as far as i know i have a good metabolism. i used to eat for days and not gain weight. i consider my new eating habits to be extremely clean which leads me to think about the term "waste"- which would be extra nutrients etc. that my body doesnt need. maybe my body is using absolutely everything i ingest therefor there is no waste being produced. it is not like a constipation feeling either just like there is nothing to poop out.

lol switched from eggs to oatmeal... dude eat both, its breakfast!
@ 6'1, 180lbs you are grossly under eating ... I'm 5'11, 180 and I eat 2800 Cals a day to cut
.......Your lack of bowel movements is most likely from a lack of total calories (ur body is storing/using what it can) and a lack of carbs... when I cut carbs I always **** less
....up the cals, carbs, fiber n waterIt's not the daily increase but daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential - Bruce Lee

Pure myth. Sorry but if you are eating anything at all, something will be eliminated. Not to mention that your body has cells and other things inside that have to get thrown out every so often in your stool. Not going doesn't mean anything other than your system is blocked. Try drinking some green tea every day. I used to have problems but the tea has helped keep me regular and it's better than taking a laxative, which is not very natural (read: not good for your body).

i plan to up the calories once i get to 175 and do whatever is necessary to maintain that weight. i havent been eating many carbs, but only because they will leave me hungry an hour later. i expect things will return to normal once i start eating a good amount again but until then as long as im still losing weight i guess im okay with going once a week. thanks for the help

I recently just had this problem. I didn't have a single bowel movement without laxatives for 2 weeks. Every 4-5 days I had to take some ducolax. However, I think it had to do with my diet because I had recently just switched it up and went super clean.
My advice is keep eating as clean as possible, eat oats, fruit, vegetables, and anything else with fiber, ease up on the protein shakes just a little bit, and drink a lot of water. Maybe even a cup of black coffee in the morning. Also even though you dont feel like you can push it out, sit on the toilet for 20 min a few times a day BUT DONT STRAIN (HEMMOROIDS). Eventually your body will get the picture and push something out.
I eventually crapped on my own, and now go 2x a day. It's probably temporary but just keep with your diet. Your body will get used to it.
Lovely topic aint it?

i also have a poopy problem. I eat what the BMI charts say i should be eating but i average about 3-4 poops a week. I have some kind of Fiber disease (which the name escapes me) so it doesnt really do me good. I might have to up my calories to maintenance for a week or so and see if anything changes.
But yea the difference if you get extra fiber is pretty crazy, theres been studies on it. A+E had a special on fiber and poop, 2 normal bowels ate the same thing except one of the meals had added fiber, he pooped in 4 hours, the other in 18 hours"Fear was what stood between a man and an extraordinary life, and the surest way through it was to stare it down over and over until that gaze became habit." - the Pat Tillman Story
