Are any of you in a Fraternity (Guys)/Sorority (Girls)? (I always wondered.. lol)

Doesn't have to be just the social fraternity infrastructure, but honor society fraternity & co-ed empower yourself type fraternities would classify too... obviously lol

when someone thinks Fraternity/Sorority.. they immediately think "Party" or douche bag with a pop collar (for guys) or whore/slut (for girls)... but that just isn't true. Some choose to make that image a reality, which is a shame, but I know guys / girls who aren't like that at all...

...and no, I'm not in a fraternity. I had been at one point - but it is not me and not my style. Freshman year.. oh, 5 years ago. De-associated a year later because I transferred to a new University (where I do my graduate studies now)

so... yeah

I am...I'm a member of Delta Sigma Phi and I can honestly tell you that deciding to pledge is one of the best decisions i've ever made. in a twisted way, it really does teach you a lot about yourself and its really an experience aimed toward personal growth.

I'm the guy that's the exact opposite of what everyone would expect from being in a frat....and I only own 1 shirt with a collar, and if someone tried to "pop" it for me, id probably kick their ass.

i became a brother in PKT back @ FSU, but dropped my affiliation about 3 months into becoming a brother.

Rushed ATO years and years ago..made it through the pledge process then left the school before initiation. Pledging once is a hard enough experience that you only want to go through once so I never bothered to rush again.

I do still keep up with a couple of my pledge bros though..

i thought about joining a fraternity before going to college then I realized(at my college), it was guys who didn't have friends in high school deciding to join up to be cool... I am at a decently small school though, so I am sure it is completely different at the bigger schools.

funny thing was is that she refused to give me a kiss at the kissing booth even though i bought a hundred tickets.

yea at big schools down south like fsu/uva etc if youre not in greek life, you have NO social life no matter how "cool" you are

This thread reminds me of a comedian that came to campus once for a show. He was a relatively unknown guy I believe, and I don't even remember his name...

"Any fraternity guys in here? Oh, yeah a couple in the back, cool. I thought about joining a fraternity once, but then I realized I can make my own friends. Oh ****, don't get mad I'm just playin. What are you guys majoring in? Date rape? Damn, I'm going to get my ass kicked after this show."
