Smile Cellulite....??

Hi All...

I've been doing Keto for the last 6 months, with the exception of mid January-early Feb while I was away in Europe...

I've noticed about 2 months into keto, I've been developing much more noticeable cellulite around my arms, legs and back regions. It is especially noticeable around my shoulders and tris and my my lower legs.

I haven't really ever been too concerned with cellulite, and it isn't too big concern now, however I'm wondering if this is normal for other people and if it's been the same for others?

I moisturise daily and I maintain the ratios 65F/30P/5C as close as possible, with fats predominantly from red meats, cheese, butter, eggs, olive oil, flaxmeal, almond meal and nuts.

I do 4-5 weight training sessions a week - so I'm exercising and getting the blood pumping!

If anyone has feedback I'd love to hear about it.

What are your stats and how many calories are you eating per day?

You can get heavier if your cals are above what you use.

I'm 167cm and weigh 63kg. I used MarkVI's calorie calculator to work out my cals so exlcuding my PO shake, my daily cals should be around 1590 to lose weight. I don't know my BF%, however I would say it's around the 18% range.

So with daily cals @ 1590, I maintain the ratio 65~70F/30~25P/5C.

There is a network of fibers that attaches your skin to your muscles. When the skin plumps up, usually through the fat cells expanding, it pushes past the length of those fibers. That is what cellulite is--the dimples are the fibers attaching your skin to your muscle. Usually caused by either enlarging fat cells or water retention.

You are talking about having cellulite in some very nontraditional areas. Are you sure that is what you are talking about? Do you really mean stretch marks?

I am not usually so concerned with cellulite but it appearing on my shoulders and tri areas is really weird. The cellulite is only visible when I am contracting my arms so when I am doing tri exercises the cellulite dimples is VERY visible and pull the flesh at my shoulders. The same goes for my lower legs, when I flex, the cellulite dimples are definitely there. It looks like I smeared mushy rice over the surface of my legs and then painted my skin colour over it! Yuck!

I'll see if I can take photos so you can see what it looks like.

I only have it on the back of my hamstrings, and it seems like it's getting worse as I'm losing inches off my thighs. Has anyone experience this and has it eventually improve with time.
