Chick asks me out, then doesn't respond. What gives?

So basically I just got out of a 2 year relationship 2 weeks ago.

Well about a month and a half ago this chick asked me to come drink with her even though she knew I had a girlfriend. I was flattered, but declined. 2 weeks later she asks me out again, and I declined again. This past Wednesday she asked me to come hang out with her on Friday (she knew my girlfriend and I had broke up), so I said sure and that I'd give her a call.

Fast forward to Friday afternoon, I give her a call and leave a voicemail asking if she wants to go out tonight. She calls me back while I'm working, I answer it but tell her I'll call her back in a little bit cause I'm working. I call her back about an hour later and she doesn't answer. I didn't leave a voicemail cause I figured she'd see I called and just call me back. Never called back.

I'm not really worried about it, just wondering what gives. It's obvious she's interested, I'm just wondering whats the logic in asking someone out and then not responding to them? I'm thinking she's playing some sort of game since I turned her down a few times before, just wanted to see other opinions on it.

Wait it out. She may just be busy.

And if she doesn't hit you back or flakes, then you know she just likes the challenge of trying to get what she thinks she can't have... and in order to get her interested again, you'd need to play games.

Gota be honest man... if I were her i woul just assume you aren't all that in to me.

She asked you once.. you declined.

She asked you a 2nd time... you declined again.

You finally ask her out... but you ask her out for the same day. When you ask a woman out fo rhte same day... typically the interpret that as she is your "Plan B" for th e night because your other (read: more interesting) plans fell through.

When she did call you back she was obviously interested in going out... but then when you told her your vouldn't talk... and idn't bother to leave any message when yu called her back... I think she is interpreting it as lukewarm interest at best.

I think she wants to see a little more "effort" on your part... no asking her out at the last moment... and actually leave a VM when you call her.

Yeah good post but he knows she was trying to move in on his girlfriend, so she can't expect him to respect her a whole lot either.

therefore- she's probably getting sick of your **** and moved onto the next cock. Pretty simple.
