I am trying really hard to take everything in and really make some changes so that I can add some muscle and also hopefully(eventually) banish my belly fat. I am following macros of 40p/35c/25f...how bad is it if I am off a little bit? I seem to be having the hardest time getting my fat up which I think is why I am so hungry in the evenings. Otherwise my carbs and protein are close t...maybe not right on but much closer than my fat.
Thanks ladies

Thanks Kimm.
It just seems somedays it is off ...not too much but not reaching the 25% I am aiming for.
One more question (for now )...is 1600 cals enough to be gaining muscle? I am 5'5" @ 112 currently. I workout 4 days with weights ...no more cardio....and am planning on starting to lift heavier. I don't really mind if my gains are gradual. I am trying to stay realistic with my goals but with bathing suit season right around the corner, I don't want to be fat trying to bulk up.
Thanks

Didn't really track before and I just started using fitday about 2 weeks ago. I never really understood how important diet was until I started reading all the info on bb. I thought I was eating healthy before but realized my carbs were way to high and not nearly enough protein.
I have been at 1600 cals for two weeks.

Maintenance for you is around 1700. If you're looking to add lean muscle than you need to be a little higher than maintenance. I would add 200 calories above your maintenance for now and see how it works. Give it a good 4 weeks and monitor your progress. Numbers can always be changed.
