Make sure to eat the rice with lunch and dinner, bump it to a cup, and throw some eggs in with breakfast. Any reason for the pletheera of shakes? Thats a helluva lot of whey.

Maybe he means that you have to rinse off the carbs before you eat them?

I know once I forgot to wash my taters before i cooked them and there was a little dirt on them....

What I mean is do go eating crap like processed white grains such as white rice and white bread. "Clean carbs" are complex carbs like sweet potatoes, ww bread, and oats.

Anyway, your diet looks pretty good brenton. Keep it up.

there is nothing wrong with white rice/bread...they have a little less fiber than their brown counterparts, but they surely can be incorporated into a healthy diet.

I agree, they can be incorprated nto a healthy diet. But complex carbs such as whole grains are broken down much slower than their processed counterparts, giving you a slow, steady flow of nutrients that wont cause an insulin spike and a rush of carbs that will make you fat.

Save the quick digesting carbs for pwo, when an insulin spike is beneficial to gaining muscle and your body will need all of the carbs your giving it.

Oh really, then how do you explain so many articles written by the experts on bb.com plus all the research conducted on the glycemic index? Where are you getting your information from? Im just curious. If I'm supplying "bro science", then the majority of the experts in the field of nutrition must also be using "bro science" as well. Do you have any information to back up what your claiming. If so, could you post a link so I could read it?

Do you even understand how irrelevant glycemic index is? Before I even bother getting into that, you need to develope a basic understanding of nutrition and that nonsense out of your head.

Start off by reading this: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/nut...s-or-food.html

Let me know when your finished with that, and then we can move on.

well if u want to get in absorbtion of carbs..unless u eat straight up bread..the protein and fats eaten with the carbs slow the process of the breaking down of it...so 500 cals white rice+chicken or brown rice+chicken will not make a difference in ur gains..all carbs get converted to energy and glucose it just takes complex carbs longer and they are usually more nutrient dense thats why they are better..but if u really want have some white bread and pop a multivitimin
