Base on label = uncooked = 15g of protein

If cooked the protein will remain the same, any fat melt of due to grilling will lower the calories overall,

On the back label of my chicken, it said 90g of cooked fillet has more protein then 100g raw.
Theoretically this is incorrect, the protein never changes, but your body will ABSORB more protein if you cook it so it makes sense.

    WRONG.

Raw it has more water = weighs more = 90 grams of cooked is more filet then raw....

    strong ignorance.

And no substantial fat will melt out to change the calorie content that much. Do some of you really believe this ****!? good god.

Raw weight on package - weigh - thats what the content is..... cook it, not much changes. MAYBE ~1g of fat...MAYBE.

D'Oh. It probably is the water weight that is lost, makes much more sense.

Bro science has failed my yet again lol.

(You would absorb more protein if you cook it, lol but no one is going to eat chicken raw anyway.)

I didn't really understand this bit a couple of weeks ago, but I never bothered with it before. I'll be gettin a food scale soon so I had to know.
The chicken loses some water / shrinks when it's cooked , so 200 grams of chicken will still have 50 grams of protein after it's cooked , but it will weigh like 150 grams or so, which is why most food databases like fitday.com will tel you 200 grams of COOKED chicken will have like 66 grams of protein because it would have needed a larger amount of raw meat to produce.

    There you go cheers

FWIW, I grill my chicken breasts then slice it thinly before I weigh it out to my 4 oz portions.

I said already- on the package is uncooked weight. There is no protein loss in cooking, it is just that the breast weighs less after cooking due to water loss.

That's uncooked, because the temperature, additives will either increase or decrease the protein, so be careful.
