Awww man.. There are so many good country songs. I don't understand why so many people put country music down.
I really like Josh Turner. Especially his song "Just to be your Man" Im not actually sure if thats what its called but he says that line a lot in the song.

Do you really have to ask why so many ppl put country music down?
its been a joke since the mid 90s
theres nothiong twangy or country about todays sooo called country music. its all roll them off the asembly line crap. give them a cowboy hat and some lyrics about a truck and a girl and make a record. JUNK.
country died around 1991 oir 92. brent mason may be the only exception
nashville country is dead. the only new stuff i listen to anymore is blake shelton and a couple others. my original response was to shift to red dirt and texas country, which is good stuff. ill post a couple vids. now im starting to go back to 90s rock and classic country and rock. some new stuff too like shinedown.
some good red dirt songs
kiss me in the dark- randy rogers band
aint in it for the money- mickey and the motorcars
road goes on forever- robert earl keen
most of them dont have music videos so its hard to find a good version

If you don't think Brad Paisley and Alan Jackson are real county you don't know what country music is. Just to name a couple of the artists that are making music today that are country.

brad paisley is pop country. some of his older stuff is okay, but his new stuff sucks. i love alan jackson but hes been around since the early 90s so he has those traditional roots.

I like it all but I agree some of his newer stuff has gone away from traditional country style.

That goes for all music, lol. But, country was good most of the 90's still. After that, even the big names started putting out any ol songs.....

I really like the song "Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)". Can anyone suggest other songs with the same kinda style...a little heavier and rockin'? Is that song typical of Big & Rich? Should I try listening to more stuff by them?
