Question about window tint with Nav Systems

I'm completely ignorant on window tint, so I figured there might be someone with the knowledge in the misc....the owners manual on my wifes car says that window tint with metallic properties can screw with the NAV system in the dash. Does anyone have in dash nav system and got their windows tinted? Recommendations? Any help is appreciated.

yes it will fck with the nav system. you have to get a non metalic one. it costs a lil more.

also check out the place you get it from. make sure they have been in business fora while cause ussually they give you lifetime warenty so if it ever does purple or bubble you can take it back and get it fixed. you dont want that to happen then go back there and they arent there any more.

so it's common then right? So if i go to a tinting place and ask for the non metallic kind they will know what i'm talking about?

Most of the time they'll only ask you about non-metallic

Make sure you get a lifetime warranty though. I got mine for about $20 extra and I've used it twice because my friend is an idiot and you should never let him bring a guitar in your car

It shouldn't mess with your NAV .. I had metallic film and my NAV worked fine. Although AM/FM Reception sucks because the factory antenna is built into the rear pillars of my car, it did effect that. SunteK film is one of the best films out there and it's non-metallic.
