Thanks! Yeah I probably should have opened with 300...but I was doing more than 315 and I knew that I could get it. I actually think my 2nd attempt was fine but, it happens I don't know about my rack pulls...the last time I did them I was at 365. I think I need to work on activating the hammies more
Yup! Definitely stuck....and this is why I didn't increase the weight...I was more concerned about making my lift by the 3rd attempt
Back to training tomorrow...I might hit the gym with a friend so he can help me figure out my maxes and I know where I should be starting atPush it to the limit!!!!

Tonight was not a good night....first I didn't workout with the friend and so I ended up falling asleep and not working out until 11:30. I'm also trying to get over a cold but I guess I'm not there yet because this is one of the few times where I felt like I was going to hurl while lifting. I'm hoping that it's because of PMS and not something else. Everything just felt really heavy tonight. I know it's partially from being off for a week and the other things mentioned, but yeah I just had a bad night....boo!
squats
135x10
225 - 3x5 (I know...terrible)
glute hip thrusts - 95 - 2x10
overhead squat - 95x5,6
I'm really trying to focus on strengthening my hammies and glutes. I was squatting barefoot and I could really feel my body shifting the weight to my quads. It could have been because of me being tired but I feel like when you're tired is when you notice the most breaks in your form so I feel like to correct that I need to strengthen the hammies. so I will be upping the hammie assisted lifts. Tomorrow will be better! I will also step on my scale at home and maybe at school to see what my weight is....198 Here I come!
ETA: Oh yeah I just remembered that I haven't eaten since probably 6pm sot hat could be another reason why everything felt heavy and I feel sick...blah! Well the good thing is, I feel more adjusted to handling work and school and I'm almost done writing my thesis. If all goes to plan, I will be done with my thesis by the end of the month (2 more chapters!) I'm working on trying to keep good eating habits with a busy schedule...so I will make sure to eat at least 1-1 1/2 hours before working outPush it to the limit!!!!

Tonight was a bit better...wow what a difference food makes. However, it's that dreaded TOM GRRRR! Also, I think I pulled something in my right thigh on the day of my competition when I did my 2nd deadlift. I have been feeling it when I move certain ways but I really felt it tonight when I was doing bench press because I had to get my arch and when I stretched my legs it hurt...so the very first set of bench press I did with my feet on the bench because it hurt to try to put my legs on the floor...it felt a bit better after that first set, so maybe I need to do more stretching and maybe take a naproxen or tylenol. Anyhow I'm doing lots of reps the next few weeks while gradually increasing the weight and lowering the reps and hopefully by my competition I should be at my max. It's almost similar to the program I ran before my first competition just not that many sets and a lot more focus on the assisting lifts.
Bench press
Warm-up 95x12, 135 (wide grip) 3x12
inverted rows 2x12 (I changed the angle to make it a bit easier so I could do the 12 reps)
overhead press - 95x5 (I realized I wasn't going to get 12 with that weight so I dropped to 85 and finished out the set of 12, 85x10, 80x11 (I almost got that 12th one! I'll start here next time I do these)
Bent over rows - 95lbs 3x12....the last set it was really hard to get that 11th and 12th rep out
I was a good girl with my eating today considering we had a teachers potluck and I didn't ransack the sweets Alright off to the showers and then bed...state testing is tomorrow! yikes!Push it to the limit!!!!

Pictures!!!
Here are my "before" pictures. I'm about 215lbs in these photos. I actually don't think I look too different from when I was 200lbs but there WILL be differences in July by the time I have my next competition!!!
I woke up this morning hoping to do 2-3 rounds of my barbell complexes but forgot I told my mother I would take her food shopping and so I only got one round in this morning...maybe I'll get another one in tonight or maybe I'll actually get some assisting lifts done

ok so this is a good news/bad news post. Good news I have finally finished writing my thesis and I'm just waiting for approval...bad news, someone rear-ended me when I was on the way to pick up my daughter. I have some neck and back pain and a little headache...but the headache could be because I was up til 3am last night lol. I filed my claim with his insurance company and I'm going to my doctor tomorrow. I'm so glad my daughter was not in the car...Hopefully everything is good and I can get back to hitting the weights soon

Oh man, sorry to hear about the accident, hopefully those are some temporary pains. People are crazy on the road these days, so many accidents caused by silly things like texting and driving. Good luck, at least you're being smart and seeing a doc asap.

Daughter in the car = more $$$$$$$ when the claim is settled. Since you weren't seriously hurt, it's unlikely that she would have been hurt, assuming she's in an adequate child seat. But that's just the cheap-get-all-the-loot-you-can-take-one-for-the-team side of me talking.
Glad no one was seriously hurt and that your little girl was spared that trauma. After my accident in February, one of my first thoughts was that I was glad I was alone in the car. Heal up fast.I'm striving to do the best I can with what I have.

Thanks Lori!
Thank you everyone...the verdict is in...I have lower back muscle spasms and muscle spasms in the shoulder as well as a lot of tension in the neck. During the checkup she did this move and put pressure on my lower back and I just knew it was gonna break! so I'm really going to make sure I take care of that because I felt a lot of pain when she was checking me....the lower back was the worst! She advised no training for awhile, at least until some of the healing starts...she did some alignments and popped some things back into place...I'm thinking that I'll take the weekend off and then maybe next week just do some very light weights and bodyweight exercises, nothing strenuous at all...THE LAST THING I want to do is damage my back
Any and all Advice, tips, anything would be appreciated! Thanks everyone!Push it to the limit!!!!

Owie, glad it's not too too serious though. It's a great idea to take it easy for a while, back troubles are nothing to take lightly. Hopefully you'll be back at it in no time!! It would be good if you could get a massage!!!

Ow! Yeah back troubles are aggrivating. Is it strictly a muscle injury there or are there other parts involved (disc, bone?) If I get something acting up in my back I use one of those really big heating pads and stick it on there while I'm laying on the couch, feels awesome.
x2 on the massage, deep tissue is going to hurt a bit but it should help you out.Current PRs:

Thanks everyone! Lower back still hurts a bit...I spent the weekend in Florida, so that was a bit relaxing! I don't know what to do as far as training wise...What does GPP mean?
This is just a muscle injury no discs or bone problems!

ooh, FL...sounds nice!
GPP...general physical preparedness. I think that means to keep moving so you don't get stiff and tight...okay,okay...I know there's more to it than that.
Do what you can. Get plenty of rest. Have somebody...anybody(IOU's for trades to friends) give you some regular/frequent massages to help relax it and get some blood flow to it.
