Perserverance. Motivation. Procrastination.
I try.
I try so hard, but trying implies failing.
And I've failed...a lot.
Join a gym.
Go daily, great dieting, etc, etc.
Working hard at my job, relaxing when I can...
And then I relapse.
Eating food I shouldn't be eating, skipping the gym.
But i've no excuse.
My motivation goes from PIMP to IDIOT in 0.5 secs. sometimes.
What can I do, I gotta go the distance and destroy all the expectations that
have been set on me by those around me, and destroy my own weaknesses.
I just need more motivation, someone to work with me.
Help, Please Help.

Make sure you're not doing too much too fast. Cut calories a little bit at a time until you reach a deficit you can manage. Work out light until you get to a point where you WANT to go to the gym. Thing about losing weight is that it's a long lifestlye change that won't happen overnight and that alone is enough to convince anyone to quit. Another thing about losing weight is that there isn't anyone who can force you to do it it's something that needs to come from within. YOU choose what to put in your mouth and YOU choose to go to the gym. You know what's wrong, you pointed it out, set a goal and get to it.
The most important thing I learned is that you can only lose so much fat per day so if you screw up one day then the next day is a total clean slate. What else do you know gives you a clean slate every day?
Jump back on the horse and keep ridin'.

Hey man i feel ya. It is easy to fall of the "wagon of fat loss."
Some tips I have learned through experience:
- Like Drive said above, you can't try to take off at 100 mph and doo too much/ lose too much.
- Make your routine a part of your everyday life. After 21 days something becomes a habit. If you can make it through three weeks, chances are you'll stick to it.
- Take a picture of yourself and put it up on your wall. Write you goal next to it, put up a pic of what you want to look like, etc...
- Remind yourself everyday why you are doing what you are doing.
The biggest key is just making it your life. Not just a phase. Phases are easy to quit and forget about. So don't go crazy, gradually build and work into it.
Good luck. You can do it.

It happens man. I've lost this much weight and I still eat a bag of chips a week sometimes, drink beer and skip the gym. It really is the overall picture. During March break I ate like crap 4.5k calories a day easy of just junk, once classes started up I just buckled down and kept too it.
I think the big problem is not the act, lets be real, you could eat like **** for a month with no gym and maybe gain 5-10 pounds. The real problem is in the guilt that eats you and makes that one month turn into 10-16 months. So when you **** up, just pull yourself back up, dust your **** off and keep putting one foot infront of the other man. Life is long, mistakes are short.

I feel you bro. I've tried so many times to loose weight in the past decade. To the point where my wife just rolled her eyes everytime I told her about a new diet I'm going to try, a new workout I'm going to try, a new piece of equipment I need to get...etc..etc..etc. But this is what I told her...
...AT LEAST I'M STILL TRYING! So I congratulate you for still trying.
I can now tell you that I am 100% on my way to having the body I've always dreamed about. The only person in my way is me...and I already told that muthafawker to get the hell out of the way. Why did it take 10 years? I didn't wan't it bad enough. I mean I wanted it bad. Real bad. But not as bad as a whole pie of pizza or an extra large bowl of noodles. I finally got to the point where I wanted it bad enough. MORE than the foods that I love to gorge on. Hopefully you will eventually get to that point. It could be next week, next year, or hell...in the next decade. I hope it is tomorrow.
Don't ever give up but don't wait to long to finally make your stand. It would be a shame to finally get the body you wanted only to have a fraction of your life to enjoy it.
Peace
