Shoulder pressing behind the head?

I see a lot of people doing it at the gym. Does it make any big difference?

Exclamation

You will find people either completely think they are dangerous and not useful, or that they are awesome. Franco Columbo was once quoted for saying behind the neck military presses were one of the best overall deltoid developer's you could do.

I personally injured my shoulder doing these back when I was younger around 15, because i didnt know what i was doing. It led to other shoulder problems which i eventually had to have fixed by surgery. However im 100% now, and have actually been incorporated behind the neck presses into my shoulder days after doing normal military presses.

Moral to the story...do them correctly... slow and controlled, with a lighter weight. dont care how many lbs you're doing. focus on the form and really feeling it. Save the goals of how many lbs ur doing for regular military presses.
