How much to text someone?
just met this girl over the weekend talked a couple times the last couple days, havent texted her yet today bc im scared of texting her too much and scaring her off.. What are some your inputs on how much to text a girl ur just now starting to know..And oh ya we made out the night we met. So kind of confused of where this is going..

not at all. speak with her on the phone for short amounts of time only to setup the next date not like you're a loser with nothing better to do than bother her.

I generally treat communication as a give and take -- I don't initiate conversation more than a couple times in a row. Don't always be in her face, but the whole "ignore her for 3 days if you really like her" thing is retarded as well.

It really depends on the girl. I like to see random texts from a guy... if they expect me to reply immediately or answer every single one, then we have a problem.
One of my exs would text me, then if I didn't respond in 5 min would text me again... and so on and so forth until I said hello.
I like the innocent ones that let me know my guy is thinking about me, but then also don't demand a response from me.

Ya know I use to think(and still kinda do) that texting is further pushing verbal communication out the door. Apart of me thinks it's terrible and we rely on technology too much. But I also find it easier to ask a girl out or something texting, as it makes the girl more comfortable. Girls are kinda weirded out these days with all the creepers. As cool as it is for us guys to call up and ask on a date, I've relied more on texting as of late. Just works better I think. Theres no pressure for a lame ass excuse if she doesn't want to hang out, etc.
A girl last week texted me wanting to hang out down at a college. When she got there she texted me letting me know she wants to meet up a little later in the night, etc. But eventually we got around to calling when it was time to meet up. If I'm at a party I'm not going to sit there and talk to you on the phone. A quick text saying "hey I'm at a party. Lets meet up in a bit" beats calling up and saying that. Makes it much, much easier.
